Earth Hour 2011

Very few people seem to be willing to acknowledge the energy crisis we’re facing. Yet Americans whine everytime gas prices rise.  So, tonight they’re presented with an opportunity to turn off the lights for an hour and think about energy consumption and conservation.  And they scoff.  Speaks volumes.

  1. You’re tellin’ it straight, George. Folks shouldn’t whine unless they can offer a solution.

    • Well, all you can do participate and try to encourage others to do the same.

Meanwhile… After composing this photo with the tea lights, I turned my attention back to the computer. Then 30 minutes later, I heard an enormous snapping noise, I looked over and my 1/2″ glass coffee table top (that the candles were sitting on) broke in half! Crazy. Good think I had decided NOT to take the table with me to my new pad. lol.
