a journey for photo knowledge

Lose yourself, seriously.

I am not a well traveled person. I’m only now, in my mid-40s beginning to travel a bit. Last year’s cruise afforded me some amazing opportunities. On our St. Thomas, Virgin Islands stop, we hopped a taxi to Cruz Bay, took a ferry to St. John and then a “taxi” to what has to be the most beautiful, relaxing place I’ve ever been. Trunk Bay, St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. Going back in September.

Spending an entire day in a two story open cabana, with this view. Ahhhhh. Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas.

Macro economics

Really need to spend more time (and money on equipment) shooting macro. I truly enjoy it. This was another shot at Atlanta Botanical Garden, May 2013.

Creeping Jenny

Sometimes its the color, and not necessarily the content. IMG_0512

Seasons change, thankfully.

Tulips at The Atlanta Botanical Garden. Taken March 2012. Yeah, I’ve got a bitch of catching up to do.

Sizzling summer nights

In the city, all manner of no-no’s happen after dark. But 26 floors above it… well, it’s just pretty. I’m moved every day by the sunrise, visible from my bed, and the sunset. It’s a different look every day. Different every day. Kinda like life.

Morning, sunny-side up

Good morning, world. An Easter morning shot from my balcony. A few clicks to the left reveals a modern midtown metropolis. But as it were, this is the more residential part of midtown, and a glorious morning awaits.

Ain’t no sunshine

Rainy, dreary weekend in Atlanta. Looking to the spring bloom to add a little color to the day. My neighborhood is filled with dogwood trees, but this is the only pink dogwood.
